I’M BACK WITH A MONTHLY WRAP-UP POST! Did you miss my monthly ramblings? Nah? I certainly did. I didn’t write wrap-ups for the last 2 months because I was hunted by a horde of dementors and well, my reading went down the drain for those months and I thought I didn’t have anything to share to y’all except my miserable sobbing.
But now, I’m actually proud of what I’ve accomplished! Continue reading and know how my November went.
NOVEMBER 2018 WRAP-UP
This month was dominated by tears of pain and/or joy and I have books to thank for that. I guess you can say I’m an emotional person but my tears just flow out of my eyes 100x faster when I’m reading a book. READING HAS MADE ME A SOFT FIRE-BREATHER SOMEONE RETURN THAT BLACK SOUL TO ME PLEASE.
I’ve read FOUR books this month and although that may appear as a small number to some, this is really a huge achievement for me. I don’t read a lot of books now that I’m in school because I fear that the fantasy worlds are going to sweep me away and I’ll forget The Central Dogma of Molecular Biology or the formula for the Coefficient of Restitution in the blink of an eye (my life is dominated by science and mathematics. Painful, I know). I’m just lucky that I got a lot of free time this month thanks to holidays and class suspensions.
Anyway, here are the books I read this month:
I was included in the blog tour of this book and it’s a standalone fantasy everyone should check out. To know more about my thoughts on this, check this *post* out.
2. Sadie by Courtney Summers (★★★★☆)
I got back to listening to audiobooks this month and I’m so glad I did. Listening to audiobooks while taking bookstagram pictures, washing the dishes, or just staring at my TBR pile is therapeutic and will give you clear skin thank you very much.
Sadie is a well-woven tale of loss and revenge. You can also take away lots of life lessons in this book. If you’re looking for audiobook recs, I can say that Sadie is perfect for you. You can read my book review here.
I was knee-deep in my own tears by the time I was done with this book. Of course, it wasn’t a perfect book but I definitely got the epic conclusion I wanted. I can now officially say that I survived Maas destruction. I’m still feel lightheaded after reading this and I can’t trust myself to make a comprehensive book review at the moment but I will try my best. FULL BOOK REVIEW COMING SOON.
If I don’t see a decent adaptation of this book while I live, I’ll revolt. This was another book that I listened to and it also made me cry once or twice (or five times I don’t know). With A+ story-telling and dynamic characters, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is a book you definitely need in your life. REVIEW TO COME.
My stats (has have) been going down ever since I got back to school but I refuse to let go of this blog because it’s something I’m so proud of. This blog is the greatest thing I made for myself outside of school and I’m so happy to announce that I’VE REACHED 7K HITS THIS MONTH. My smol son is growing at its own pace and I couldn’t be prouder. I feel like a stage mom here ok. Thank y’all for supporting me and this blog!
Also, check out my blogposts for the month:
My Twitter engagement keeps shooting up every month and I’m really happy about that. I’ve had 286k impressions and reached 3k followers this month! ABSOLUTELY WILD. I’m really glad that I get to interact with more bookdragons everyday on Twitter and that I can make people laugh with my tweets. I do try to be funny sometimes.
BOOKSTGRAM IS A HELLA DIFFICULT PLATFORM TO GROW. Despite that, my heart is full because I’ve found people there who constantly support my content.
If you want the same support too, I think I can help you with that. Just send me a message @bookdragonism and we’ll see how things go.
So that’s how my November went! It’s also officially December here in my timezone. I can hear some angels singing.
By the way, I’m also planning a blog redesign! @artsydraft made a new blog header and graphics for me and I’m a million times thankful. I hope I can finish redesigning on Christmas break. Highly unlikely but let me dream.
How did your November go? Are you excited for Christmas? Tell me your favorite read of the month!
