Time to do a tag again! I found this one at AdeleIsReading. Do check out her blog if you want to.

Actually, I wasn’t nominated for this tag but I am a free bookdragon who mostly does what she wants so here we are! Today, I’m going to tell you more about my blogging life. I’ve only been blogging for two months but I’m taking it seriously. I will keep on blogging until this world falls to the hands of post-apocalyptic monsters and/or bloodthirsty aliens. Hmm actually it’s not a pretty thought but whatever.

I think you’ve had enough of Doomsday talk. I’m just going to start answering the questions now, shall we?

1. Where do you typically write your blog posts?

MY PHONE. It’s basically my third arm, my most precious son, and my lifeline. It’s so difficult to draft blogposts on my phone but I’m too lazy to boot up my laptop while my phone is just one accio away. The internet connection is also agonizingly slow on my laptop so I can’t always open wordpress there. YES I CURSE THE INTERNET CONNECTION EVERYDAY.

2. โ€ŽHow long does it generally take you to write a book review?

More or less than an hour. When I write reviews, my thoughts just flow freely so the writing process is really quick. YES IT’S A MIRACLE. I actually write like a sloth but book reviews are different. My brain seems sharper when I write them. I wonder why ๐Ÿ˜ถ

3. โ€ŽWhen did you start your book blog?

I just started this blog last May. I didn’t think that this blog was going to be successful (sort of) and I’m happy that there are actual PEOPLE who are reading my posts and not just the ghosts of my past.

4. โ€ŽWhat is the worst thing about having a book blog in your opinion?

I think the worst thing is that I now have a lesser time to read. Before this blog, I didn’t have anything to do but read but now that this baby is here, I have to divide my time between reading and writing (ft. Twitter). And let me just tell you THAT IT’S SO DIFFICULT. Time management is the bane of my existence.

5. โ€ŽWhat is the best thing about having a book blog in your opinion?

The best thing is that I’m now able to share whatever is in my rusty bookdragon brain. Through this blog, I can encourage people to read and spread their bookdragon wings through books. I also want to spread the “bookdragon” mentality so that humans will stop calling book lovers “bookworms”.

6. โ€ŽWhich blog post have you had the most fun writing so far?

Oh I can’t choose one. I’m a huge lump of indecision. I have three favorites. You can check them out if you want to:

โ€ข Why Humans Should Stop Calling Us Bookworms

โ€ข โ€ŽKnow if You’re a Bookdragon Using These 7 Signs

โ€ข โ€ŽWhy You Should Have a Bookdragon as a Friend

7. โ€ŽWhat is your favourite type of blog post to write?

Again, I can’t choose just one. I love writing tags (even though I do tags when nobody nominates me), book reviews (this usually contains a lot of shrieking and flailing) and most importantly, I love to write my Bookdragon Thoughts. There’s so much thoughts in this brain, okay?

8. โ€ŽWhen do you typically write?

In the evening. It’s the time of day when I usually stop procrastinating. My brain also functions better in the evening. THIS DRAGON IS NOCTURNAL, FOLKS.

9. โ€ŽDo you review every book you read?

Yes. But that habit just started this year. 2018 is the first year I took my goodreads challenge seriously. I vowed to myself that I would make this year a good reading year. So I started reading like a hellhound and I also discovered the pleasure of writing book reviews. So far, so good.

10. โ€ŽHow do you write your book reviews? With a cup of coffee or tea? With Netflix? Cuddled with your fur baby?

I usually write my book reviews in a haze of tears and agony. It depends on the book, of course. I usually write my reviews on my favorite chair while picking up the pieces of my broken heart. I also like to write in silence since any music can make me sing and/or dance then I’ll forget writing the book review entirely.

11. โ€ŽWhen do you write your book reviews? Right after finishing the book? Two weeks after finishing the book?

IMMEDIATELY AFTER READING. I really want to stress this because I think it’s the perfect time to write a book review. It’s when the emotions are still raw and when I can honestly share my thoughts. I’m a subjective book reviewer and writing a review can help me vent out my awe and frustration regarding the book I just read.

If you want to effectively write a book review, heed my advice: do it as soon as possible.

12. โ€ŽHow often do you post?

I actually post randomly so I don’t have a direct answer to this question. I post as much as I canยน because I don’t really have a fixed schedule. Blogging ideas don’t come often (and regularly) but I do my best to post every other day or every two days.

ยนas much as I can = after reading and sulking for a day because book hangover is real

So there you have itโ€”a little bit of insight to my two months of blogging. I hope you had fun reading what this bookdragon can offer.

How long have you been blogging? What’s the best part of being a book blogger? Do you love blogging? Talk to me!

      1. True that. I spent the whole night reading. I am writing the review as I remember the book and for once scheduling a post yayyy… I never do that usually, but it is fun

      2. I don’t schedule posts too but I like to try it. I’m gonna draft another blogpost today for another tag. Ahh I really love bookish tags I can’t stop myself from participating in them ๐Ÿ˜…

      3. Hahaha it is fun. Rain I am very slow at tag : I don’t always remember the books I read and I don’t like telling details about myself. I don’t feel I am that interesting hehehe

  1. Great post! I also try to write my reviews right after reading the book, but that doesn’t always happen. ๐Ÿ˜› And yes to lost reading time after getting a blog. That definitely happened to me too! And tags are waaay too much fun!

  2. Ahaha I’ve still go reviews to do from like 2+ months ago, #procrastinationatitsfinest hehe. I also did this tag a while back, and I do tags without being tagged too! Free dragons we are ๐Ÿ˜‰ Aaaaand I’ve nearly been blogging a year! Well a year on the 16th August xD

    1. Almost one year of blogging! Congratulations, Clo! You should really write those reviews now before those books murder you in your sleep ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ˜‰
